Tethered cord with a lipoma of the filum terminale

Low position of the conus medullaris terminating at S1-S2 level with thickened filum terminale fixed by a fusiform lipomatous lesion of high signal on both T1 and T2 attenuated on fat-saturated sequences visible at S2-S3 level, in keeping with a lipoma of the filum terminale.
Lumbar scoliosis of right-sided convexity is noted with no vertebral anomalies.
