Tethered cord with terminal lipoma

Presentation

Low back pain and bilateral sciatica

Patient Data

Age: 30
Gender: Male

The spinal cord ends at L2-L3 level (tethered cord). It ends in a fatty mass display bright signal intensity in T1 and T2 denoting lipoma. No abnormal enhancement.

L2-3 disc is degenerated with no significant neural effects.

No meningocele or other spinal dysraphism.
