Thalamic glioma

Diagnosis probable

Presentation

History of mechanical fall, head injury, loss of consciousness for 30 minutes

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
mri

Heterogeneously enhancing lesion is noted involving the right thalamus including the right cerebral peduncle and midbrain, compressing the third ventricle and the posterior body of the right lateral ventricle causing midline shift.

The tumor shows high signal on T2 and FLAIR, low signal on T1 with central areas of diffusion restriction.

Acute supratentorial hydrocephalus noted with CSF permeation.
