Diffusely low signal throughout the bony skeleton on both T1 and T2 sequences.
No intervertebral disc disease.
Case Discussion
In this patient, a known case of thalassemia major, the bone marrow displays the markedly low signal on MRI on both T1-weighted and T2-weighted images consequence of massive bone marrow iron deposition.
