Thermoluminescent dosimeter badge (CaSO4:Dy Teflon)

Case contributed by Dr Ayush Goel

1st image shows: nickel coated aluminium card with TLD discs

  • disc: calcium sulphate doped with dysprosium (CaSO4:Dy), in teflon matrix

3rd image, labelled:

  • yellow arrow: denotes that radiation falls on this side
  • brown arrows: denotes a cut in the TLD card and a nob for the same on front cover's internal side
  • back side of the card (when viewed without the cover and paper), will appear same as 1st image of TLD card

Note that the aluminium faces the radiation and copper faces the TLD disc.
