From the case:
Thoracic spine fracture-dislocation
Frontal
T11/T12 lateral dislocation. Left hemithorax opacification likely due to hemothorax. No pneumthorax or rib fracture.
Case Discussion
CT confirmed fracture-dislocation through T11 and the T11/12 disc space. MRI showed transection of the cord.
The patient was paraplegic at presentation. The dislocation was reduced and posterior stabilization performed.
