Prior left sided thoracic surgery.
Distorted left thoracic cavity with minimal residual left lung.
Right lung clear.
Consequential high riding left shoulder girdle.
Case Discussion
Classic, but now rarely identified, thoracoplasty undertaken for TB. Antimicrobials were limited at this time for 'consumption'.
This elderly lady was a teenager at the time of surgery 64 years earlier.
