Large mass in the left anterior neck. No overlying skin abnormality.
The mass was partly compressible on probe palpation and moved on swallowing.

3cm well defnied thin wall cyst left of the midline. No solid components.
Normal thyroid gland.

FNAC/aspiration was performed which confirmed the radiological inference of a thyroglossal cyst.
Case Discussion
Thyroglossal duct cysts develop in the remanent of the thyroglossal duct
It can therefore develop anywhere in the line from the foramen cecum at the base of the tongue to the thyroid bed.
The commonest site is at the level of the hyoid bone ( half ) as in this case.
