Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
Ultrasound

The thyroid gland demonstrates numerous nodules one of which is dominant and has increased perfusion. 

Nuclear medicine

Thyroid scan demonstrates marked increased uptake in the dominant nodule of the right lobe of thyroid. 

Case Discussion

This 60-year-old woman with Plummer disease (toxic multinodular goitre) and an autonomous thyroid nodule was identified.
