Presentation

Mass felt above medial malleolus.

Patient Data

Age: 50
Gender: Female

There is a well defined, rounded mass arising 2.4 cm above the ankle joint in the course of the tibial nerve and displacing the posterior tibial vessels posterolaterally. It demonstrates homogenous T1 hypo and T2 hyperintensity and relatively homogenous avid contrast enhancement.

Case Discussion

Appearance is consistent with a peripheral nerve sheath tumor of the tibial nerve.
