Slipped onto amputation. Swollen.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

Long-standing surgical amputation through the proximal tibial and fibular metaphyses.

Undisplaced fracture of the lateral tibial plateau extending into the intercondylar eminence.

Lipohemarthrosis.

Case Discussion

A pretty uncommon presentation of a tibial plateau fracture.

The patient fell directly onto the amputation stump resulting in this fracture.
