Presentation

History of pain in the right knee since 3 hours after he slip while step out of the car and hit his knee on a hard object, local examination: no wound no swelling no redness mild hotness, and tenderness over the anterior side of right knee.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Fracture in the lateral tibial plateau is noted. 

Suspected chip fracture at the medial femoral condyle medial aspect.

Soft tissue shadows appear swollen.

8 months later

x-ray

Lateral tibial plateau fracture with open reduction and internal fixation by plate and screws in situ.

Case Discussion

The patient was diagnosed with a fracture of the right lateral tibial plateau.
The patient was transferred to the general hospital for fracture treatment.
After examining the patient, it was decided to perform a surgical operation to treat the fracture by fixing it with a plate and screws.
By chance, after 8 months, the patient came to us with a history of trauma to the knee, and an x-ray of the same knee was taken.
