A nasogastric tube tip projects over the stomach body. A tiger tube tip projects well beyond the expected anatomical location of the stomach.

Case Discussion

A 'tiger tube' is a self-advancing nasojejunal feeding tube, used for short term feeding/medication into the jejunum. The tube has small, claw like flaps (see annotated image) at its distal end that aid in advancement during peristalsis.
