Tiny wedge-shaped cortical defect at medial cortex of 3rd metatarsal bone near base.
No other fracture or sclerotic/lytic lesion.
No appreciable soft tissue swelling.
Case Discussion
The triangle-shaped butterfly fragment is formed due to the union of two oblique fracture lines.
However, butterfly fractures are usually much larger than this tiny fragment.
