Presentation
Left tongue ulcer
Patient Data
A rather well-defined mass involves the left aspect of the tongue and the left sublingual space, it measures 4.5 x 3 x 2.2 cm in its maximum dimensions. The mass elicits a low signal on T1-weighted images and a high signal on T2-weighted images with mild post-contrast enhancement. Medially, the mass mildly displaces the left genioglossus muscle and abuts the left neurovascular bundle without signs of infiltration. Anteroinferiorly, the mass contacts the left sublingual gland. Posteriorly, the lesion reaches just anterior to the base of the tongue
There is no cervical lymphadenopathy.
