Pain in the right neck an shoulder region. Suspected disc herniation.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male

The right vertebral artery forms a coil at the C4/5 level within a widened foramen transversarium.

Case Discussion

Tortuousity of the V2 vertebral artery segment is mostly found at C5/6 or C4/5. On rare occasions, it may lead to neck pain or radicular symptoms1.
