Presentation

Pain in the distal wrist.

Patient Data

Age: 12 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Buckling of the distal metadiaphyseal region of the radius on the dorsal aspect. Volar cortex is intact. Findings are consistent with torus fracture.

Case Discussion

Torus fracture is an incomplete fracture that occurs as a result of trabecular compression along the long axis of bone due to axial loading force.
