Presentation

Known case of cyanotic congenital heart disease with shortness of breath

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male

There is cardiomegaly with an abnormal ovoid density at the superior mediastinum resulting to a "snowman" or "figure of 8" appearance of the cardiomediastinal shadow on frontal projection.  

Increased pulmonary vascularity (pulmonary plethora) is also demonstrated.
