Tracheal bronchus

Known case of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

The CT images demonstrate a small aberrant bronchus arising directly from the right lateral wall of the trachea 1.8 cm from the level of the carina and supplying the apical segment of the upper lobe.

No lung metastasis was seen.

Case Discussion

CT features of a tracheal bronchus (anatomical variant) arising from the right lateral wall of the trachea, incidentally discovered in a patient with nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
