Tracheal buckling (and thymic sail sign)

Presentation with respiratory distress. Chest clear on examination. Parents describe stridor.

Patient Data

Age: 8 months
Gender: Male

Lungs are clear. Normal cardiothymic contour. Tracheal buckling consistent with history of respiratory distress.

Case Discussion

Normal appearance of the thymus (thymic sail sign).

Tracheal buckling (seen in this age in children with respiratory distress).
