Tracheoesophageal fistula

Newborn with imperforate anus, there was resistance during nasogastric tube insertion.

Patient Data

Age: 1 day
Gender: Male

Curling of the nasogastric tube in a dilated proximal esophagus suggesting esophageal atresia.

Gas is seen distally in the gastric cavity indicating a tracheo-esophageal fistula.

Hyperinflated lungs.
