Acute onset paresthesia

An intrasubstance altered signal intensity of the splenium of the corpus callosum, with T1 hypointense signal, T2 and FLAIR hyperintense signal and low ADC signal reflecting restricted diffusion.

Case Discussion

The patient had viral upper respiratory infection and fever 2 weeks earlier.

Presumptive MR diagnosis: Demyelinating lesion.

Clinical improvement after steroid treatment.

Presumed demyelination. On follow up MRI the lesion is completely resolved.
