Transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder

Presentation

Recurrent episodes of microscopic hematuria with positive dipsticks. No UTI. US shows normal kidneys with no hydronephrosis.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male

Images acquired after delayed iv contrast injection. The posterior bladder wall show irregular thickening with endoluminal growth. No obvious invasion of the peri-vesical spaces. No regional enlarged lymph nodes. 

Case Discussion

Following those CT findings above a cystoscopy with biopsy has been performed. The pathologist's report confirmed a grade 2 papillary transitional cell carcinoma. No muscle invasion.
