Fall in play park with pain, tenderness and deformity at the right wrist.

Patient Data

Age: 11 years
Gender: Female

Transverse fracture of the distal radius with volar angulation and an accompanying ulnar buckle fracture. 

Case Discussion

The radial fracture extends all the way to the dorsal surface and is therefore transverse (and complete) rather than a simple buckle fracture.
