Transverse distal radial fracture

Presentation

Trauma

Transverse fracture of the distal radius, with minimal dorsal angulation.

Case Discussion

There is a complete fracture of the distal radius. This should not be mistaken for a greenstick fracture. On the coned sagittal, you might think that it is an incomplete fracture - the dorsal cortex involvement is subtle (see the zoomed image).
