Transverse distal radial fracture with mild volar angulation and associated buckle fracture of the distal ulna.
Case Discussion
This injury should not be confused with a buckle fracture of the distal radius. There is involvement of both the volar and dorsal cortex and this is therefore a complete transverse fracture. Treatment is different, requiring a formal cast rather than a removable split that would be used if it were a buckle fracture.
