Transverse fracture through the little finger proximal phalynx. The physis is not involved.
Case Discussion
This is a transverse metaphyseal fracture. It should not be confused with either:
- Salter-Harris fracture: the fracture does not involve the physis
- metaphyseal corner fracture: not all metaphyseal fractures are metaphyseal corner fractures!
