Presentation

Weakness in bilateral lower limbs, bowel and bladder disturbance.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
mri

Intramedullary hyperintensity from C7-T1 to T5-6 levels with mild expansion of cord.

Case Discussion

The findings are consistent with transverse myelitis. The patient was started on a course of steroids and had a near-complete recovery.
