Selected axial images from a CT brain demonstrate asymmetric hyperdensity in the region of left transverse sinus.

CT venogram demonstrates a thrombosis of her left transverse sinus, sigmoid sinus and into the internal jugular vein. 

Case Discussion

The patient was taking the oral contraceptive pill, which is a recognized risk factor for developing dural venous sinus thrombosis.
