Presentation
Neonate with congenital sacral dimple had undergone an MRI as a part of workup for spinal dysraphism.
Patient Data
There is a fluid collection within the endometrial cavity measuring 2 cm in maximum diameter. Otherwise, the uterus appears unremarkable.
Fatty filum terminale is present. However, the level of the conus is within the normal limits. No evidence of associated intrathecal mass or open spinal dysraphism.
There is anechoic fluid collection with posterior enhancement within the endometrial cavity. otherwise the uterus appears unremarkable.
Case Discussion
This is a case of surgery-confirmed transverse vaginal septum. The case was detected incidentally when the newborn had an MRI during the workup for spinal dysraphism. The depth of the septum was 1.5 cm and the cervix was not visible through the septum.
