Transverse venous sinus aneurysm

Patient Data

Age: 10 years
Gender: Male

There is a single saccular structure arising from the right transverse sinus, with flow void on T2 sequence, also visible on MRV scans. Slightly dilated vein of Labbé seen anteriorly. The remainder brain seems unremarkable.

Case Discussion

Aneurysm of the transverse sinus is a rare entity. About ten cases of this anomaly have been found in the literature. In this case, the aneurysm turned out to be an incidental finding. Further, follow-up was recommended.
