Intraarticular trapezium fracture. No other associated injuries are noted.
Case Discussion
Trapezium fractures are rare, accounting for 1 to 5% of all carpal fractures and usually being associated with other more common injuries such as those of the distal radius or the metacarpals.
These fractures usually require operative management.
