Traumatic Achilles tendon rupture

Sports injury. Hit with a a hockey stick accidentally. Very tender around the posterior aspect of the right ankle joint. Unable to walk on it.

Patient Data

Age: 36
Gender: Male

There is complete disruption of the Achilles  tendon fibers consistent with complete rupture.

 No evidence of fracture or bone edema

Complete traumatic rupture of the Achilles tendon is well demonstrated in this case.
