Presentation

Fall on the head while jumping into the sea from a height for the past week, presented with paraplegia.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

Focal high T2 signal is noted at the dorsal spinal cord at the level of mid-body of C3. It shows isointense signal on T1 and high signal on T2, reflecting focal spinal cord edema.

Case Discussion

Focal spinal cord edema opposite the C3 mid-body level suggestive of mild spinal cord contusion.
