Traumatic subarachnoid and subdural hygroma

Assaulted.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years

Traumatic non-aneurysmal subarachnoid blood is noted overlying the right frontal lobe and extending into the Sylvian fissure. 

CTA (not shown) doesn't demonstrate any underlying vascular abnormality or aneurysm. 

CT scan 48 hours later demonstrates redistribution of subarachnoid blood, and development of bilateral frontal subdural hygromas.
