Treansitional cell carcinoma of the bladder with resultant hydronephrosis and hydroureter

Presentation

Female patient with a history of hematuria and right flank pain.

Patient Data

Age: 80
Gender: Female

CT Abdomen and pelvis (selected images)

Modality: CT

Mass in the right posterolateral bladder wall protruding into the bladder with consequent right ureterovesical junction obstruction. The mass shows intense enhancement following contrast. There is no obvious extravesical extension.

Respectively: arterial phase, portal venous phase, equilibrium phase and excretory phase late. There is moderate right nephrohydroureter with consequent important delay in renal enhancement and no excretion.

Case Discussion

Female patient with a history of hematuria and right flank pain.

The patient attended for cancer staging. The TCC of the bladder was previously confirmed histologically. 

There is no obvious extravesical extension, only the bladder mass and right nephrohydroureter.
