Presentation
Painless mobile right occipital scalp swelling for six months. No discharge or skin color changes.
Patient Data
No CT evidence of recent intracranial hemorrhage or infarction. Small well-circumscribed calcified lesion in the subcutaneous tissue of the scalp in the right occipital region.
Well-defined, oval-shape lesion containing internal calcifications, measuring 11 x 17 mm noted in the superficial subcutaneous soft tissues of the scalp. No internal vascularity is seen in it on color Doppler ultrasound examination.
The lesion was excised and the histopathology showed pilar / trichilemmal cyst.
