Presentation

Left trigeminal neuralgia.

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Female

The left superior cerebellar artery is abutting the left cisternal segment of the left trigeminal nerve with no obvious discrepancy in size between the trigeminal nerve on either side.

Annotated image

The annotated image reveals the neurovascular contact between the superior cerebellar artery and cisternal segment of the trigeminal nerve on the left side compared with a normal relationship on the right side.

Case Discussion

Radiological features are mostly in keeping with trigeminal neuralgia.
