Trigeminal neuralgia secondary to cerebellopontine angle meningioma

Cerebellopontine angle tumors are not the frequent cause of trigeminal neuralgia.

The present case shows cerebellopontine angle meningioma with trigeminal nerve compression can cause of trigeminal neuralgia symptoms. We want to emphasize the importance of investigating each case of trigeminal neuralgia for correct diagnosis. If the patient has symptoms of typical or atypical trigeminal neuralgia brain MRI should be considered.
