Abnormally expandable mass of the right Meckel cave with the following criteria:
- follows the course of the right trigeminal nerve which isn't furtherly depicted
- exhibits dumbbell shape with cisternal and Meckel’s cave components
- the cisternal portion of the lesion possesses a cystic nature with CSF signal and faint marginal enhancement
- the Meckel's cave portion of the lesion is mostly solid and enhances heterogeneously
- free diffusion on DWI. T2 shine through on DWIs
- mass effect upon the right side of the brain stem
Case Discussion
The most commonly encountered lesions expanding the Meckel cave are the trigeminal schwannomas and meningiomas with the former is the most suggested differential in our study.
