There is hypoechoic soft tissue thickening around flexure tendon at thumb base / metacarpo-phalangeal joint - that is thicked A1 pulley. There is no tenosynovitis / tendon tear.
Asymptomatic thumb shows normal A1 pulley thickness.
Case Discussion
Findings favor trigger thumb.
