Presentation

Work up for thyroid associated orbitopathy.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male

There is small focus of calcification located adjacent to the superomedial aspect of both orbital walls.

Case Discussion

Features are consistent with calcification of the trochlear apparatuses, which is a benign condition and common in patients more than 50 years old. The discrimination between intra-orbital calcification and foreign bodies may be important for certain patients.
