Presentation

Known case of Pott's disease.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
mri

Destruction of the T12 and L1 vertebral bodies with near total obliteration of the intervening disc space resulting in a kyphotic deformity at the thoracolumbar junction.  Associated collection within the residual intervertebral disc, bilateral paravertebral regions, psoas muscles and epidural space with severe pressure over the distal cord/conus medullaris.

Case Discussion

Tuberculous spondylitis with gibbus deformity and paravertebral abscess formation extending into the epidural space and bilateral psoas muscles.
