Destruction of the T12 and L1 vertebral bodies with near total obliteration of the intervening disc space resulting in a kyphotic deformity at the thoracolumbar junction. Associated collection within the residual intervertebral disc, bilateral paravertebral regions, psoas muscles and epidural space with severe pressure over the distal cord/conus medullaris.
Case Discussion
Tuberculous spondylitis with gibbus deformity and paravertebral abscess formation extending into the epidural space and bilateral psoas muscles.
