Calcified subependymal tubers are noted along the ventricular wall of the temporal horns and lateral ventricles and cortical adjacent to the interhemispheric fissure.
The bone window shows multiple sclerotic bony lesions within the calvarium.
A small subcutaneous nodule is noted in the right parietal region which may represent an adenoma sebaceum (annotated image).
There are multiple and bilateral small cortical renal lesions of fatty density in keeping with renal angiomyolipomas.
Two hyperdense renal cysts are noted with an average attenuation of 45 HU on nonenhanced CT (the cystic nature was confirmed by ultrasound).
There are multiple sclerotic lesions involving the lower thoracic/lumbar vertebrae and sacrum well-visualized mainly on the axial bone window.
Case Discussion
CT features are most consistent with a tuberous sclerous (or Bourneville disease)
