The MRI sequences demonstrate:
- small subependymal nodules isointense to the cortical grey matter on T1 and T2, slightly hyperintense on FLAIR with enhancement of the nodule located at the right frontal horn
- bilateral cortical and subcortical areas of low signal on T1, high signal on T2 and FLAIR with no enhancement in keeping with cortical/subcortical tubers
- cystic-like lesions of low signal T1 and on FLAIR and high signal on T2 with no enhancement in the centra semiovale
Case Discussion
The clinical presentation and MRI findings are most consistent with tuberous sclerosis.
