Right-sided adnexal complex lesion is seen measuring about 3 x 5.3 x 5.7 cm along maximal AP, TS & CC dimensions, it shows dilated fallopian tube with internal fluid signal, it elicits heterogeneous bright T2/STIR and low T1 signals, with heterogeneous post-contrast enhancement and areas of restricted diffusion on DWI.
The left fallopian tube is dilated, and distended with a fluid signal being of bright T2/STIR and low T1 signals, it also shows heterogeneous post-contrast enhancement and restricted diffusion.
Case Discussion
Tubo-ovarian complex presents as a heterogenous adnexal mass with areas of restricted diffusion, and the patients usually present with fever and tenderness.
