Presentation

History of surgery for endometrial carcinoma. Incidental finding on follow-up MRI.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female

Dolichosigmoid with a pedunculated polypoid mass within its lumen of intermediate signal on T1, and T2 with intense and heterogeneous enhancement on postcontrast sequences. It shows a shaggy nodular contour giving a cauliflower appearance with well-visualization of the villi and the pedicle.

No uterine structure is seen (history of hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy for endometrial carcinoma).

No pelvic mass or lymphadenopathy was seen.

Case Discussion

MRI features of a pedunculated mass with a cauliflower appearance within the sigmoid lumen histologically proved as a tubulovillous adenoma with high-grade dysplasia.
