Transverse, nondisplaced, open fracture of the 4th distal phalanx's head.
Case Discussion
The patient presented at the emergency department with an open fracture, acute pain and much bleeding. The injury resulted from a crushing mechanism trauma as the tip of his finger was hit with a construction trolley.
