Tug lesion: soleal line

X rays ordered for knee pain. No history of trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 54
Gender: Male

There is incidental prominent bilateral tug lesion along the soleal line, along the proximal attachment of the soleus muscle to the proximal tibia and fibula.

Case Discussion

The soleal line is a bony “tug lesion” that can form on the tibia and fibula proximal at the attachment of the soleus.
